The story of the Aussie-Mac-Cracker started around 2007 as a father and son team, Paul and Phillip.

 

Paul farmed and produced macadamia nuts on a farm in a small farming community in Northern N.S.W. called Eureka. Paul was thinking one day about how great it would be to make a nut cracker that went with his delicious macadamia nuts, so he shared his idea with his son Phillip and the story of the Aussie-Mac-Cracker began.

After many months, and many prototypes, they came up with the Aussie-Mac-Cracker. With a fine attention to detail, this beautifully hand crafted nut cracker is very compact, and sits very comfortably in the hand. The Aussie-Mac-Cracker is very easy to use and will keep the kids amused for hours, not to mention the adults.

 

From the embossed handle and the barrel shaped body to the beautifully polished finish, the Aussie-Mac-Cracker makes a great gift, and with the stamping of a kangaroo and the word Australia in the base, the Aussie-Mac-Cracker makes a great souvenir at the same time. The toughest nut of all, the world famous Australian macadamia nut, can now be cracked with ease, not to mention any other nut you can fit into it.

Unfortunately, Paul is no longer with us, passing away in 2009 unexpectedly and far too young. With his passing there were lots of loose ends and many unexpected changes took place.

 

Paul’s dream was for the Aussie-Mac-Cracker to grow and his dream is still growing.

 

Thank you to everyone who has helped Aussie-Mac through a very difficult time, and thank you to everyone who continues to use and love our product.

Together they started to think about how and what to make, but they didn’t just want a nut cracker, they wanted something that said Australia too. With Paul’s background in engineering and Phillip’s background in boiler making, they got to work on something that was practical, comfortable and easy to use.

The Aussie-Mac-Cracker comes with a 5 year warranty, but we think it will last twice that long.
